A postdoctoral research position in Vascular Molecular and Cell Biology is available at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Our laboratory takes a multidisciplinary approach to investigate vascular function ranging from molecular analysis of cell signaling mechanisms in cultured vascular cells and cell lines to image analysis of signaling systems in isolated perfused arterioles. Ongoing projects are analyzing the molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating normal vascular function and development, and those that trigger vascular disease (including atherosclerosis and the vascular dysfunction of aging). Enthusiastic qualified applicants should have a strong background in vascular biology with substantial experience and expertise in molecular and cell biology.
