Postdoctoral researcher positions are currently available to outstanding candidates in the Ovarian Cancer Research Center at the UPENN. Projects involve the development of exploratory bioengineering strategies for the creation of adoptive T cell therapy for cancer. Project goals include the development and optimization of novel universal immune receptors that can be conferred with highly tailored tumor specificity for adoptive immunotherapy; and the identification and isolation of novel tumor antigen-specific TCR gene sequences for the development of TCR gene therapy. Xenogeneic models of advanced human cancer are available for the preclinical testing of novel TCR, chimeric immune receptor and universal immune receptor approaches. Outstanding candidates will possess strong skills in molecular biology and cellular therapy, established writing skills and a capacity to think independently. Position requires an individual with strong self-motivation, capacity to lead and ability to perform timely platform optimization for possible product commercialization.
Ph.D.s and/or M.D.s with a strong background in molecular biology, cancer immunology and T cell biology are encouraged to apply. Expertise in molecular and cellular immunology is desirable. Successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated, hard-working, and a critical thinker.
