A highly motivated and qualified individual is sought for a position of Senior Research Scientist available 03/05/2010 to study molecular mechanisms of cyclic dimeric GMP-dependent signaling in bacteria.The position is initially for one year with the possibility of extension. In addition to performing high-quality research, the candidate is expected to participate in supervising junior research personnel and writing manuscripts and grant proposals. Minimum qualifications include Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry and at least 3 years of postdoctoral work. Expertise in general molecular biology methods, bacterial genetics, protein localization and regulation of gene expression, which is supported by publications in peer review journals, is required. Prior experience in cyclic dimeric GMP signaling is highly desirable. The salary will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications.
