The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Priority will be given to candidates with research interest in biomarkers of exposure or susceptibility to environmental agents associated with adverse reproductive and developmental outcomes or cancer. Research space will be provided in a newly-renovated laboratory with modern core facilities for genomics and proteomics, access to Human Tissue Banks, molecular pathology, imaging, flow cytometry, NMR,and analytical chemistry. We strongly encourage applications from women and underrepresented minority groups. Applicants should have an M.D.,Sc.D. or Ph.D. degree, postdoctoral research experience in areas such as Toxicology, Environmental Health, Epidemiology or Molecular and Cellular Biology, a demonstrated record of productivity in research,and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. Opportunities for collaborative interdisciplinary research include a Superfund Research Grant and an NIEHS Formative Center Grant for the Evaluation of Environmental Impacts on Fetal Development.The successful applicant will have the opportunity to serve as a predoctoral and postdoctoral research mentor for the NIEHS-fundedT32 Training Program in Environmental Pathology. The ability to obtain external funding for an independent research program is essential;candidates with existing support are preferred.
